EVENTS
RCC's emphasis on community service shines through our many community service events. We aim to have two events each weekend, and we host a variety of volunteer opportunities to address different issues in the community. Some events include organizing donations at the Second Harvest Food Bank, walking universal blood donor greyhounds at Hemopet, and cleaning up the UCI campus at Campus Beautification.

Along with our smaller weekly events, we also have three club-wide service events throughout the year. Thanksgiving Dinner occurs during fall quarter, where we visit the Thomas House Shelter and provide families warm meals, gift card giveaways, and entertainment through games, activities, and a photobooth. During winter quarter we host Charity Gala, a themed dinner dedicated to raising money for an organization, recently PATH, Mission is to end homelessness by providing affordable housing and supportive services across California.
EVENTS DURING COVID-19
We will be hosting community service through both in-person service events and at-home service events. Each event will have 2 board members accompanying so that everyone can work together. We also recognize that these events might not be feasible for everyone, so we are providing an alternative to fulfill the active membership requirement. In place of one service event, you can sign (5) petitions. All of the information for the signed petitions can be found in the Event Makeup Petitions Template.
T-SHIRTS
We have customized annual t-shirts for members to wear during service events so we can look like a unified team! The t-shirt is $14 and is valid for the entire school year. Buying the t-shirt is not mandatory to be an active member or to attend service events!

We have customized t-shirts for members to wear each year! Our club t-shirt is $14 and is only required for in-person service events organized by the American Red Cross organization. While purchasing the t-shirt is not mandatory, we strongly encourage members to get one to showcase their RCC spirit!
Shirts can be purchased before or during general meetings via cash or Zelle (redcrossclub@uci.edu)! To purchase a shirt in advance, fill out the 2023-2024 RCC T-Shirt Order Form! Shirts ordered by 5:00 PM on the day of the general meeting will be available to be picked up at that week’s general meeting. If you are unable to attend general meetings, please email us at redcrossclub@uci.edu.
